Insolito Anejo Tequila
Description
Insolito Anejo Tequila is a type of tequila that has been aged for at least one year but no more than three years in oak barrels. The term "anejo" means "aged" in Spanish, and it is one of the three categories of tequila recognized by the Mexican government, the other two being blanco (unaged) and reposado (aged for a minimum of two months but less than a year).
Insolito Anejo Tequila is produced in Mexico and made from 100% blue Weber agave, which is grown primarily in the Jalisco region of Mexico. The agave is roasted, crushed, and the juice is fermented before being distilled in copper stills. After distillation, the tequila is aged in oak barrels, which impart flavors of vanilla, caramel, and spice to the spirit.
Insolito Anejo Tequila is typically darker in color than blanco or reposado tequila and has a smoother, more complex flavor profile. It is often sipped neat or on the rocks, but can also be used in cocktails. As with all tequilas, it is important to drink in moderation and enjoy responsibly.
